Barry Miles is an English author known for his participation in and writing on the subject of the 1960s London Underground. He is the author of numerous books and his work has also regularly appeared in papers such as The Guardian. In the 1960s, he was co-owner of the Indica Gallery and helped start the independent newspaper International Times. More recently he has published London Calling, the Counter-cultural History of London Since 1945 (2010) and In The Seventies (2011) the second volume of autobiography; the first was In The Sixties which first appeared in 2002. Most recently he is the author of Call Me Burroughs, a Life (2014) which has received exceptional review in both the US and UK.
