Cindy VandenBosch is the President of Turnstile Tours, a social enterprise that develops guided tours in partnership with nonprofit organizations in New York City. With over a decade of experience in the museum and disability fields, she is the former co-chair of the Museum Access Consortium, serves on the Tenement Museum’s access advisory board, and has consulted with institutions in the US, Russia, and Singapore to foster more inclusive place-based experiences for people of all abilities and backgrounds. She currently serves on the Tourism and Hospitality Executive Committee at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to support an inclusive strategy for tourism development in the borough. Cindy has presented extensively at regional, national, and international museum and tourism conferences on visitor engagement and accessibility, including most recently as a lead presenter for Stories of Inclusion: Inclusive Practices at Cultural Institutions, a fall 2015 webinar series hosted by the American Alliance of Museums in honor of the 25th anniversary of the ADA.
