Elizabeth Weybright is a doctoral student in English at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. Her research in Romanticism and 19th Century British literature explores intersections between musical aesthetics, sound studies, and literature. This interest stems from an inquiry into the ways in which unconventional aesthetic and observational modes are opened up when we shift our attention from looking to listening. Her background in music performance as a cellist informs this work.
