Jonathan Rosen is the author of two novels, Eve’s Apple and Joy Comes in the Morning, and two non-fiction books, The Talmud and the Internet: A Journey Between Worlds and The Life of the Skies: Birding at the End of Nature. In 1990 he created the culture section of The Forward newspaper, which he oversaw for ten years. After leaving The Forward he created the Jewish Encounters Book Series, published by Nextbook/Schocken, which he edited until 2014. His essays have appeared in The New York Times, the New Yorker, the Atlantic, Audubon and numerous anthologies. He is writing a book for Penguin Press about friendship and madness.
