Naomi Kuromiya is an MA candidate at The Institute of Fine Arts, NYU. Her MA thesis examines the global influence of the postwar Japanese avant-garde calligraphy collective, Bokujin-kai. She previously held the 2012-2014 Dedalus Fellowship in The Museum of Modern Art Archives. She works for The Lyonel Feininger Project LLC, where she assisted in the organization of the exhibition Lyonel Feininger (February 17-May 28, 2017) at the Fundación Juan March in Madrid. She is currently copy-editing the Catalogue Raisonné of Paintings by Lyonel Feininger.
