Stephanie Vella is doctoral candidate in Theatre at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Her research interests include modernist cultural appropriation, animal studies, and theories of visuality. She has published reviews in New England Theatre Journal and Theatre Survey. She has also co-authored a book chapter on Occupy Wall Street with Maurya Wickstrom that appears in the edited anthology, Manifesto Now! Instructions for Performance, Philosophy, Politics. Stephanie teaches acting and theatre history at the City College of New York and Marymount Manhattan College.
