About the exhibition

This exhibition How can I say this so that we can stay in this car together? is part of collaborative project between The James Gallery and The Racial Imaginary Institute titled "On Nationalism: Borders and Belonging" producing exhibitions, dialogues, symposia, and experimental pedagogy with CUNY colleges. Activities will take place around the city and a companion exhibition will take place at Kordansky Gallery, Los Angeles.

Artists include: Black Audio Film Collective, Tara Hart, Maria Hupfield, Emily Jacir, Ajay Kurian, Claudia Rankine and John Lucas, Mercedes Teixido.
