Chiara Colombi is part of the “Design and Cultures” research section and Faculty Member of the School of Design, Politecnico di Milano, where she teaches in the Fashion Design Program. She is the academic coordinator of FIT in Milan, Fashion Institute of Technology Campus Abroad program in partnership with Politecnico di Milano – Design dept. and the academic coordinator of Politecnico di Milano – Scuola del Design and Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) International M.Sc in Fashion Design Joint Program. She is faculty member of International Master in Luxury Management at MIP - School of Management and other institutions of higher learning. 

As co-founder and member of Fashion in process, Research Lab at the Design dept. of POLIMI (https://fasioninprocess.com), her research interests concern knowledge creation processes, codification of meta-design research praxis and development of merchandising systems in “culture intensive” industries, with a specific focus on the fashion sector. In particular, in the last years she has been working on the innovation processes for fashion fashion-tech sectors and new sustainable solutions for the fashion sectors. She is author of international publications and consultant in didactic and research activities for Italian and foreign institutions and companies.
