Helena Rosenblatt is professor of History at the Graduate Center, CUNY and Executive Officer of the History program. She is the author of Rousseau and Geneva from the First Discourse to the Social Contract and Liberal Values: Benjamin Constant and the Politics of Religion. She is also the editor of the Cambridge Companion to Constant and a volume of essays entitled French Liberalism. Recently she produced a Bedford/Saint Martin's edition of Rousseau's Second Discourse.
