Jessica Caplan is a certified sound therapist, vocalist and yoga instructor currently based in the Hudson Valley. She creates unique yoga and meditative sound experiences, workshops, retreats and trainings that weave her passions for music as medicine, the voice as sacred channel, and the power of community and self-connection.

Music was always a rich part of Jessica's life, both privately and publicly. In 2002, while living as a writer and performer in Hong Kong, Jessica became enamored with yoga , and became a Vinyasa instructor in 2006, certified in Pure Yoga's first teacher training in Hong Kong. Seven years later, Jessica completed sound therapy practitioner training at the Open Center’s Sound and Music Institute in New York City, bringing together her love of music and the healing arts. She is a certified Reiki practitioner and Restorative yoga teacher, and continues her studies of yoga, sound healing, shamanic medicine melodies, voice and most recently, classical Indian music, with talented teachers and mentors.

At Pure Yoga in Manhattan, Jessica is known for her heart-centered Vinyasa classes infused with therapeutic sound and vocal improvisation, and her popular monthly sound bath “Sonic Saturday.” She has crafted soundscapes for classes and led workshops and sound baths at the Rubin Museum, ABC Carpet & Home, Maha Rose, Kula Yoga Project, Stanton Street Yoga, Yoga Shanti and Envision Festival in Costa Rica.
