Julia Bozer is a PhD Candidate in Art History at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, where she concentrates on modern and contemporary traveler-artists in the Americas. Before beginning her doctoral studies, she earned a BA in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University in 2005 and an MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, London, in 2009. Her research has been supported by the Lila Acheson Wallace Foundation and the Museum Research Consortium initiative at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, where she was a Fellow from 2017-2018.
