Laura Hillegas is a Ph.D. student in Art History at the Graduate Center, CUNY. She received her BA in Art History and Cinema & Media Studies from the University of Chicago. Her current research focuses on Czech action art and afterlives of communism in the art of East Central Europe. Since moving to New York from Chicago, she has worked as a contributor to Artsy Learning and as Curatorial Intern at the Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum.
