Margaret Carson is an Assistant Professor in the Modern Languages Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College. She earned her PhD in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literatures from the CUNY Graduate Center with a dissertation on the work of the Argentinian writer Sergio Chejfec. She’s currently translating the dream journal and other writings by the Spanish surrealist artist, Remedios Varo (forthcoming, Wakefield Press).
