About the event

Insofar as the modern system of knowledge is a multimodal system of navigation endowed with universal orientation, the question of the topos, or the local, is linked to questions of epistemology and knowledge both in its analytical and synthetic dimensions. The local—like the global—is not a datum given a priori. The aim of this lecture is to reexamine the question of localization as one of the most consequential problems of thought. A systematic engagement with the question of localization will allow us to follow a trajectory that connects the epistemic navigation of the space of the concept to geophilosophy and a speculative cosmology.
