About the event

Although Theresa Bernstein favored oil paints as her medium of choice, a study of her print impressions, especially the etchings and monotypes that she created during her lengthy and illustrious career, serves to develop a deeper understanding of the artist both on a personal level and as a member of the greater American art community. Stephanie Hackett, doctoral student in Art History at the Graduate Center, will lead a tour of Theresa Bernstein: A Century in Art that provides both a general overview of the larger exhibition and a discussion of the various media that Bernstein employed.
