About the event

What happens when you lose the brain of the person you love, and not the body? Join award-winning writer Alix Kates Shulman for a discussion and reading from her memoir about a marriage transformed by traumatic brain injury. She is the author of, among many other books, the upcoming novel Ménage and the collection A Marriage Agreement and Other Essays. Jason Tougaw (English, Queens College, CUNY) will serve as discussant. This a public program connected to “NeuroCultures.” For further information on this and other Seminars in the Humanities, see http://centerforthehumanities.org/seminars.
